Change default search engine in Microsoft Edge [Tutorial]

Microsoft Edge is slowly gaining its popularity,Thanks to its great improvements in UI and other

related experiences,but what make people hate is its default search engines,..Some people don't like

Bing was it consumes their bandwidth(by loading images in background and providing detailed

explanatton) more than other search engines like google which doesn't consume more when

compared to bing. So in this tutorial let's see how to change default search engine in Microsoft

Edge..

Just follow the below steps..

1) Launch Microsoft Edge.

you can do this by pressing windows key-> Typing Edge -> Select the top most result " Microsoft Edge".

Edge uses OpenSearch technology which will automatically store,that this is search engine,this is not..,etc..so Visit your favorite search engine first which means if you wish to set google as your default search engine in edge,then you need to open Google.com first,in the same way if you wish to set ask or duckduckgo or any other searching engine as default search engine first visit that site first..

Then follow the steps below..


2) Click on the ... dot icon located on the top right.

3) Select Settings.

4) Scroll down and select View Advanced Settings under Advanced Settings.

5) Now,again scroll down until you find an option "Search in the address bar with"

Below that you can see your default search engine ( which is Bing in Most cases)

6) Select Change Search Engine Option.

7) Now,you can find the search engine as (discovered) Option.For example: If you had visited google as said earlier,then you can find "Google search (discovered) Option..

8) Select it,which will enable Set as default and Remove options.

9) On that tap/select Set as default option.

10) it won't ask for restart,but if asks,then restart your browser.
